Netflix’s Death of the Pastor’s Wife docuseries is out, and a lot of you have already watched it. If you came away thinking you finally had the full picture of what happened to Mica Miller, though, you really don’t. While the series covers a lot, it still left out details that matter if you actually want to understand JP Miller, the pattern around him, and how this kind of abuse hides and is protected in Christian churches.

This isn’t just another true-crime story, nor is it a rare occurrence in the Christian Church. Every day, Christian women, including pastors' wives like Mica Miller, fight to survive in abusive and dangerous marriages only to be ignored and silenced by so-called "pastors" of God's people.
Mica's story is yet another wake-up call for the Body of Christ to stop protecting charming and charismatic pastors, use discernment, and start protecting the sheep. If we don't, we'll only continue hearing more stories just like Mica's.
It's time to stop feeding these wolves and start holding them accountable, black sheep.
